FEMALE BIRTHDAY CARD - 21ST - A5 SIZE - SPECIAL ORDER

Hello and Welcome once again to my Blog.

I was asked to make a Special A5 Size 21st Birthday Card. the person ordering left it entirely up to me for the whole design.
This was a wonderful honour for me to think that I was able to design the card with my own ideas.

Not knowing what the recipient of the card liked I decided that Whisper White will be the Card with accents of Gold Glitter Card. Hoping all the time the 21st Birthday Girl will love the Gold and not shout out, ' but I only like Silver'.

Gold is a more precious metal. So I decided Gold it is!

Using the Big Shot along with the Botanical Builders Framelits and the Large Number Framelits and the Layering Oval Framelits the Card front was ready to assemble.
I soon realised that the card front needed my signature

BLING!

So this I decided the beautiful shimmer on the Stampin' Up! Basic Pearls were what I needed to use. The Shimmer of the Pearls with the Glitter of the Gold Paper give the perfect balance for the card.

Then there was the inside of the card, I couldn't leave it blank it was just too boring and stark, it would be a real let down for everyone, especially me as I would not have wanted to present the card looking unfinished.

So into my collection of Stampin'Up! products I go. Shall I stamp a sentiment? No, it would look lost as I don't have every Stamp Set Stampin'Up! has in stock, and the ones I have just didn't cut it for this card, BUT! I do have a few Word Thinlits, um now which one?

Yes, there is was, patiently waiting for me to take it out of its packet. The 'Congrats' from the "Sunshine Wishes".

With 2 thin strips of Glitter Paper across the bottom of the page and another at the top along with the wording Congrats in the Gold Glitter, it was enough to finish the Card off beautifully.

I used a 12"x 12"sheet of Whisper White Cardstock along with the  Envelope Punch Board and made a Plain Envelope with a 2" Belly Band;  Whisper White for the Back of the Band and the Gold Glitter Paper for the Front of the Belly Band.

The finished Envelope - Plain but Elegant as I didn't want the Wow factor until the Card was taken from the Envelope.

I am super happy of the Finished Card.

What do you think?

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP - SPECIAL GUEST - WENDY CRANFORD

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, this is #4 for this month August 2016, and today we are honoured to have a lovely lady called Wendy Cranford all the way from the USA blogging along the side of us.

Wendy Cranford

There were so many different choices to be had while looking at Wendy's creations. Trying to decide was like being a child again in a Candy Store saying "Oooh I like that one"and so on.
I finally decided on a card that Wendy created over 4 years ago, this coming Halloween.
As I do not celebrate Halloween myself , I CASEd the card to almost identical with the way Wendy designed the pattern and the sizes of card and paper that were to be cut.
The reason why I chose this card and made it almost identical is that I have not made this type -A Patchwork - Card before. I really enjoyed doing this, and I will definitely look for Wendy's other card she has tutorials on for me to have a go too.

Above is the Video of Wendy Cranford's Tutorial of the Card I CASed for this Blog Hop today.

With the above card, this in featured in the above tutorial here is the result of my interpretation.

I used the New and Beautiful DSP from the Holiday Catalogue that will be released on 1 Sept 2016 called Petals and Paisley .

Hope you Enjoyed seeing my card today?

STRAWBERRY SKETCHES - SARAH BERRY - #SS006

Hello Everyone, It is that time of the Week again. For another Strawberry Sketch.
Gee with all these Blog Hops, I have signed myself up to do. My weeks are rolling over super fast, I'm keeping out of trouble hahaha and the best part of all, I have so much inspiration for making cards.  Yes, my Mojo is Alive and Happening!

Sarah Berry

Sarah wrote: - This week it’s time for a flower, or alternatively something big and bold.
For Sarah's card, she turned the sketch on its side so Sarah had a landscape card. She hopes you like it!

This is Sarah's Card

Now it’s over to Me! I can interpret this sketch how I wish, it can all be the same or they can all be different. It’s really up to Me.
Sarah wrote: - Please use my sketch as a starting point and see where it takes you. As she is excited to see what I create!

This morning when I awoke from my slumber, I did not feel like sticking a huge Flower on a card, I had the urge to make Owls!!! Brightly coloured Owls, with hearts, and I knew I had to use Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, as my cards always get Bling.

So this is exactly what I did.. I made a cute card with love and hearts all around, plus the Wink of Stella there was plenty of that too :)

Here's my Finished Card.

So here are my brightly coloured Owls with lots of "Wink of Stella" glistening on the Hearts and the Waistcoats of the Owls.

(Kitty No! Don't even think about it, Bad Kitty)

No! You are not seeing double;

I stamped twice the sentiment inside the card.

The second time I stamped I moved the stamp a little to the right to give it this effect. The reason why I did do this, was the stamp was too open spaced for my liking, it looked very lost and lonely.

Stamping it twice it gave the stamp more depth by forming a shadow on itself.

HAPPY FRIDAY - CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP - TEAM PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Hi everyone, welcome to another Happy Friday, Crazy Crafters Blog.

Wow, we are flying through this month of  August, but that's fine with me, as it will soon be SEPTEMBER..... Yay September, this means Winter disappears for Springtime, my Birthday and  best of all is Stampin'Up!  HOLIDAY CATALOGUE  Launch...YAY... WOOHOO... I am getting so excited for the 1 September 2016 to arrive so we can all buy the NEW and gorgeous products to make our Christmas and New Year Cards.

This weeks card is totally my own creation. I have only attempted Watercolouring  once before making this card during the week.  I used the sponge from Stampin'Up!®  but I am not sure about how the ink settled on the sponge, it didn't give a smooth finish.

Anyway you will notice there is something not quite right with the image, especially the sky, or what is in it.

The Colours  of the sky are brighter than a normal nights sky, especially when there are stars in the sky.
The moon appears very small, and what you would think is the moon is actually Earth.

I have been a Star Trek fan since William Shatner  wore orange when portraying the role of James. T.  Kirk Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Here is my In Another World Card.

I Used the following Stampin'Up!®  products.

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP - BLOGGING with DAWN OLCHEFSKE

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, this is #3 for this month August 2016; and today we are honoured to have a lovely lady called Dawn Olchefske all the way from Plymouth Minnesota USA blogging along the side of us.

Here is Dawn Olchefske

Dawn's YouTube Tutorial for Double Background Stamping

We are so excited to be doing this Challenge that Kylie Bertucci has arranged for all us Crazy Crafters to CASe one of Dawn’s creations.

With so many wonderful cards, I was really spoilt for choice. But then I saw a Double Background Stamping Technique in Monochromatic Colour, so this was the card I decided to CASe.

As I have very limited Background Stamps (well really I have only One at the present time), I looked through my collection of Stampin’Up!® Stamps Sets for a suitable stamp to be the other image. I found a similar Stamp to Dawn's ( as it was a block image) to use as my Second Stamped Image.

I do like to make my cards with something inside? so it is not left totally blank, a sentiment maybe, as I like to stamp the image inside to compliment the image on the front of the card. I also stamp the envelope, this gives it a complete and professional look

I am impressed on how my take on Dawn’s card has turned out.
I like it more and more I look at it, so I guess I will be making a few more cards with this style soon.

It is a very quick card to make defiantly in the 10-minute time frame, but this does not degrade the quality of the finished product.

Hoping that you find some inspiration from this hop today, as there are many very talented people in this team to WOW your mind away.

The Double Background Card is A6 size.
I Used the following Stampin'Up!®  products.

Basic Black A4 Cardstock
Very Vanilla A4 Cardstock
Mint Macaron A4 Cardstock

Mini Glue Dots
Tombow Glue
Jewels Basic Rhinestones
And from the New Holiday Catalogue – Launching 1st September 2016.
3/8” (1cm) Ribbon Trio Pack – Mint Macaron

Hard Wood Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Flourishing Phrases Clear-Mount Stamp Set
Wetlands Clear-Mount Stamp Set for the Sentiment

STRAWBERRY SKETCHES #SS005

The Lovely and very Talented Sarah Berry

Hello and Welcome back to my Blog, this week's Strawberry Sketches #SS005 is a lovely card with a 4 panel layer which means it could be 4 rectangular panels of the same equal size and pattern or 4 images, this is where Card making is so much fun, there are really no rules, and if there is any you get to bend the rules to suit your imagination or interpretation of the sketch.  So the world becomes our oyster for this sketch oh yes there is a place for the sentiment too.

 This Sketch is the Brief:  To be used as a guide;
I am able to create any type of card as long as it is my own design, using my own Stampin' Up!® Products.

I decided to something about Love,  Yes all about Love, I used one of the 2016 - 2018 In Colours, this week it is Dapper Denim and the beautiful rich looking  new Embossing Powder COPPER  from our Annual Catalogue that was launched a little while ago 1 June 2016.

I thought we all need more Love in the world right now. So I created this lovely card.

Hearts always represent Love!

Did you know that a Heart which is in the Colour Blue has a very special meaning?

blue heart symbolises a Deep and Stable Love.

Stampin'Up! ® products Use to create the Card.

Heart Punch
Hearts Stamp from the Perpetual Calendar Stamp Set
Rose Wonder Stamp Set for the Sentiment
Textured Impressions Embossing Folder -  Seaside
Versamark
Copper Embossing Powder
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
2016 - 2018 In Colour Dapper Denim Cardstock
A6 Whisper White Envelope
Copper Fine Thread
Tombow Glue
